Find your true values and get your motivation back!
Are you miserable at work?
Has your self-confidence drained away?
Have you lost your motivation?
The problem
Well, here we are, a new year has begun. And yet, you feel a lack of motivation, as though you are standing still professionally – and your colleagues get on your nerves and your boss doesn’t understand you.
You are about to have (or have just had) another unsuccessful year-end objectives-setting meeting that doesn’t take into account the issues you’ve previously mentioned, the environment in which you work, the skills you have and those you’ve acquired thanks to various courses you’ve followed.
Maybe you feel that you don’t belong in your team, or perhaps can no longer relate to the values of the company you work for.
The idea of spending another year doing the same thing for the same people is getting you down but “it’s a job” is what everyone tells you. “you should be happy you have one”, “it pays the bills” but you still feel empty.
You like to give the most of yourself to your job but feel that is doesn’t help, you are not recognised for your worth and thus feel even more frustrated and demotivated. You used to like your job but now you are no longer sure.
You always give 100% to your job but at present it is not helping and you are no longer sure whether you still even like the job you once loved. You would like to: use your strengths and stop doubting both yourself and your skills; know what type of job would suit you; change jobs and maybe even change companies but are wondering if the grass is really greener elsewhere; get your motivation back on track and recognise your true potential.
You don’t “feel like you” at the moment, and feel like a shadow of your former self.
Maybe you dream of changing professions but don’t know how to go about it.
Maybe you’ve done a skills assessment course but are not sure how to use the results.
You are full of ideas of how to develop professionally but can’t seem to initiate them.
You want to get your dignity back and keep your head held high.
You want to feel better and recognise that you need help to do so.
The helping hand
What if you could clarify what your professional values are and then determine if they are the same as those of your company?
What if you could form a clearer picture of your professional aims?
What if you could re-build confidence in yourself as well as in your skills and thus obtain professional satisfaction?
You are not sure where to begin or what to do, but you know you want to project a better image of yourself and to move forward with greater self-confidence.
The certainty
I can fully relate to this situation, having gone through it myself. Don’t think that you are the only one affected. Your children, family, friends, colleagues, anyone who has anything to do with you are affected too.
It was when my 6 year old son said to me “Mummy, why are you always angry?” that I realised something was wrong and knew things had to change.
Solutions
There are solutions which will help you accomplish the changes you want; the reason why you get up in the morning to go to work, to discover what you really enjoy doing and what you are good at. Coaching sessions now, before you find yourself on sick leave for depression or “burn-out”, can help.
Thanks to a personalised programme you will start to see things more clearly, and in just a few short months you will again be self confident and sure of your skills. You will find a bit more “joie de vivre”, you will reconnect with what is important to you and what values guide you both professionally and personally. You will find your motivation. You will find your balance.
If you want to move forward professionally, find your professional identity, I can guide you. I will help you find your path – which might be one that you had never imagined you might follow – which may be out of your comfort zone but never out of your control. I guarantee you will have my total support on this journey, coupled with kindness and sense of humour.
